| Last year we had the opportunity to build 24 pieces of furniture for a client here in town. A few pieces that were made were new designs and the majority were direct from our Mission style furniture right out of the catalog. When all was said and done, their house was wall to wall furniture made from a plan from AFD. Take a look and see the quality of product that can be made from an American Furniture Design plan. |

MISSION COFFEE TABLE This coffee table is a perfect match for our Mission Chairs. By carefully selecting the boards for the tabletop you will be able to create a stunning table. The tabletop has interlocking keys in the top and our well-detailed instructions assure you of a table that will be a true reflection of the Art's & Crafts style. Size: 46" long by 36" wide and 18" high. |
MISSION COUCH This couch with its loose cushions matches our Morris Chairs and Coffee Table for our living room collection. Using quarter-sawn white oak for the top and the sides makes this a very striking piece. The corbels on the sides balance the design. Your selection of either leather or fabric for the upholstery will make this couch a fine addition to your living room. Size: 30"high by 72" long and 38" deep Skill level Beginner |

MISSION END TABLE This end table rounds out our small table grouping for the Mission Line. Select the boards carefully for the top and you will have a stunning table. We detail the interlocking keys in the top in great detail in the instructions so that this procedure can be easily accomplished. Size: 27" high by 29" wide and 29" deep Skill level Beginner. |
BOW ARM
MORRIS CHAIR
This
chair is a direct reflection of the work done by
William Morris in England in the early 1900's.
It is also influenced by the work of Gustav
Stickley here in America. This chair features
quadralinear leg post construction. These posts
have four quartersawn oak boards mitered and
then glued. This construction technique best
displays the oak's ray flake which seems to wrap
around the leg. Our well detailed instructions
explain three different methods of leg
construction.

| WIN A GRIZZLY TABLE SAW: We are pleased to announce the sixth year of our Furniture Design Contest. We will award a Grizzly Table saw to the woodworker who creates the best piece of furniture from an American Furniture Design Plan. The Grizzly table saw is rated by American Woodworker Magazine in a recent comparison of table saw, as their "Best Buy". You may also submit designs of your own. You will need to supply two color photos of your piece, a front view and a side view along with a description of the materials that you used. Your photos will not be returned. We plan to have 3 finalists and from them we will award the Tablesaw on December 15, just in time for Christmas 2008. |
