MISSION SIDEBOARD

This sideboard has been in development for the past year and we are very pleased with the final design. We feel that this piece represents our Mission Line at its very best. As with our chairs the legs are designed with the quadralinear post construction. These posts have four quartersawn boards mitered and then glued. This design technique best displays the oak’s ray flake that seems to wrap around the leg. This is one of our designs, which offer a complete set of hardware, as it can be difficult to locate reproduction hardware of good quality.
Size: 39" high by 65" wide and 22" deep.
Skill level Beginner/Intermediate

PRECIOUS MOMENTS CURIO CABINET

This case was designed to store a Precious Moment Collection for my daughter Lisa. The construction is quite simple with glass sides and a large front door. Indirect lighting shows off the collection quite well. Each of the shelves is glass and the rear mirror is readily available from most home centers.

SCHOOL HOUSE CLOCK

This handsome school clock is typical of clocks manufactured by Seth Thomas and Ansonia, which in the past few years have become valuable collector's items. No other clock has a more prominent place in American history than this one. The plan details both the short drop and the more traditional long drop for longer pendulums. The plans list suppliers for the movement and the bezel.
Size: 32" high (long drop) 22" (short drop) by 18" by 5 1/2" deep.
Skill level Beginner

SHAKER SEWING STAND

Shaker sewing stands have a special charm that fits in almost all decors. The dovetailed drawer opens from both ends of the table and the legs have a sliding dovetail to support them in the base. Our step by step instruction walks you through the difficult part of cutting the dovetails to assure a perfect piece when completed.
Size: 29"high by 24" and 19" deep.
Skill level-Beginner/Intermediate

WIN A GRIZZLY TABLE SAW: We are pleased to announce the sixth year of our Furniture Design Contest. We will award a Grizzly Table saw to the woodworker who creates the best piece of furniture from an American Furniture Design Plan. The Grizzly table saw is rated by American Woodworker Magazine in a recent comparison of table saw, as their "Best Buy".  You may also submit designs of your own. You will need to supply two color photos of your piece, a front view and a side view along with a description of the materials that you used. Your photos will not be returned. We plan to have 3 finalists and from them we will award the Tablesaw on December 15, just in time for Christmas 2008.
